and sometimes other places
wonderful windows and gorgeous magnolias! Funny that just yesterday I suggested we buy our cat, Icky, one of those watering systems so she stops bugging us to turn on the faucet! nice!
like the black/white theme. not sure i would splurge on the water thingy for my cat, one more thing i would hate cleaning. i can't believe that magnolia trees are blooming already up there...nothing here yet.
None of our flowering trees are blooming yet. Can't wait! Love the architecture of the brownstones.
i love this collection, from the cat to posh and becks with a magnolia tree thrown in for good luck.
Nice contrasts. I have a strong affinity for windows and doors.
Your photos are especially vibrant today!
Your photos are all great! I love the cat of course, as I am a cat lover! Cats love to drink from taps, don't they?! Thanks for your visit! Yes it's a bit of a problem to have children abroad. I am now 75 so I don't know how long I can go on to travelling to Australia.
oh the magnolias. the magnolias!!! bella. xxx j
Gorgeous magnolia, and I want that cat! x
"Magnolias on 22nd Street" is my favourite. Very "Breakfast at Tiffany's". I expect Audrey Hepburn to come walking gracefully out of that door in a chic hat and little black dress...
The Magnolia is my fav .. all those angles/lines/shadows .. so interesting ...
I love the Chelsea Physic Garden - I sat there once on a windy day and all the smells wafted towards me - if only you could bottle something like that.I'm going to have to look around for alternative phrases to use with you, E. You take such good photos but how many times can I say the same thing? :)(still awaiting the Shelley book and it will then join the pile I've got mounting up for after the exam in June)
The little ornate Juliet balcony is lovely and the magnolia holds so much promise in those petals.Kat
I think that is the Star Magnolia - the first tree to bloom , possibly even before the northern magnolia now in bloom in Washington DC. When I had a garden I had to have one of these! Your photo is a great reminder of the Star. Weird how we are are posting about a black and white cat simultaneously! Truly, I am not stalking....
Beautiful Elizabeth. You just gave me motivation to complete a curtain I was sewing for my porch!
I love your color scheme in these photos....black, white and pink/rose. Elegant!
That cat entertainment system reminds me of a friend who took her cat to the cat kennels while she was on holiday. When she went to collect him on her return, the kennel maid said could she wait a few minutes so that he could finish looking at his TV programme! It was a film of goldfish swimming round in a tank!
oh..you already have magnolias blooming ! this is so lovely....and...well David Beckham is quite...decorative isn't he ?:-)i caught up with your last posts from India...at last..what a lovely time you had there!and thanks for the wonderful shotsmuch love from Spainps .: your new banner...excellent!
Hi Elizabeth, just left a reply on my post that you'd commented on so you know. I love your photos and look forward to seeing more of them. Thanks for visiting my blog -love the way new bloggers interlink via old bloggers and the net widens! Love the ones of the windows, I love photography too but just use a regular digital while hubby has a "proper" Olympus SLR. I want a handbag camera so I can get shots on the move. Improvisation is the key to cat toys!
I’m sorry the greenie in me has to object : running a faucet isn’t harmless – it wastes treated water. I love the magnolia shot and sorely crave spring. Thanks for sharing.
oh, Elizabeth, I love the last photo - everything in it is just right!
Gotta laugh at Posh and Becks. One of our kitties used to ONLY drink from the running bathroom faucet.
Great nearly monochromatic series of photos, Elizabeth! Sweet kitty...and what joy to see all those blossoms! No blooms here yet...has Posh clipped her hair short?! Didn't know...I don't keep up with celeb news--LOL! Happy Day ((HUGS))
That magnolia picture is so pretty and I like the background behind the flowers. Very nice!
Love the window shot. My cats enjoyed the water fountain, and want to know what happened to their fountain. They had forgotten about it until they saw your post. I am going to have to start blogging without ten eyes watching me.I explained to them they their water stays much fresher if I freshen it several times a day. There were always cat hairs and dust swirling around in it. I did not mention all the fun they had splashing the water on the floor, making such a mess, and posing a slipping hazard for visitors.I think they bought the story.
Ahhh those magnolias! I have a magnolia tree ready to burst in the backyard. Those white ones are a beauty! And that curtain reminds me of my grandma's linens...lovely :)
I look forward to hearing from you!
