This afternoon from 23rd Street looking west towards New Jersey.
Such drama. A front approaching. Snow. Storm. Something. The flag should be waving on top of a castle.

The skies are never boring in New York, are they? Beautiful photos, Elizabeth.
ReplyDeleteloved that sky! and then an hour later: clear blue. amazing.
ReplyDeleteThank you for taking time to share your views of The City.
ReplyDeleteSplendid indeed. I love the second one :)

Beautiful, dramatic shots- I can almost smell the clouds!
ReplyDeleteI think everyone should look up more than down:)
ReplyDeleteI love skies filled with dramatic clouds! We have been having some spectacular skies here too...
ReplyDeleteThe top photo could have been taken on a summer's day - all those lovely shades of blue. It's soooooooooo cold though.
ReplyDeleteI simply love watching the everchanging skies, and you captured some interesting images! Did it snow, after all?
ReplyDeleteI watched and photographed Mars and Jupiter last night, and this morning's sky was so beautiful, I had to take the camera to my window again. I wonder what my neighbours think of me. *giggle*
Those seductive waters rolled right past my home area before swishing down to 23rd street...it's cool how so many people, perhaps a hundred miles apart (say Albany to NYC), can enjoy the beauty of a specific work of nature as the majestic Hudson River...
ReplyDeleteEndlessly fascinating
ReplyDeleteGlorious skies, beautifully captured.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, beautiful skies!!! I can stare at them all day..each day, hour and minute they changes and they always make me happy..except the dark skies. It's monsoon season here and heavy showers in the evening..turning my garden into mini pools.. :D
ReplyDeleteQuite a change from your New York shop windows - but I love these photos too.
ReplyDeleteLovely skies Elizabeth. I love it when the sky goes purple just before a storm.
ReplyDeleteSuch great compositions .. love the light and shadows

amazing skies...those dark clouds look so ominous!
ReplyDeleteWas it snow? Did it blow over?
ReplyDeleteWe keep getting a promise of snow or sleet, but so far nothing but frosty cold or damp cold.
When we lived in LA my husband then (a New Yorker)was so bored with the weather...his comment was he missed real weather like in New York!! Those sky images are wonderful...did you receive snow?
