A beautiful sunny Saturday
so we set out for Brooklyn along with large numbers of others lured by the thoughts of
cherry blossom
and people dressed up in costumes
all playing under the shadowy trees.
People of all ages....families
lots of elegant young ladies
all greeting the season.
A reflection - but really too crowded to reflect much
but fun to look for fishes
and floating blossoms
and moments of peace......
Oh that cherry blossom Elizabeth - no such thing here yet - I am so envious.
ReplyDeleteI just came from running and I had so mich fun, running home through the streets and all trees had such great blossoms. It looks so romantic!
ReplyDeleteWonderful pics. What a funny girl with the sheep bag :-)
Love, Ines
Lovely photos.
ReplyDeleteSon living in Japan has been sending me photos of the trees in bloom.
Nothing better then sitting under them and have a meal.
cheers, parsnip
Lovely colourful photo's
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteElizabeth, you've brought back some beautiful Brooklyn memories of visiting this festival.
ReplyDeleteIn another month or so, the amazing rose garden should be in full performance. The scent and colors...wow!
xo
That blossom! What a contrast to even a month ago. It's sunny here too at last....
ReplyDeleteNo cherry blossoms here, too hot/cold, but it looks very pretty there.
ReplyDeleteSo much colour and delight found in this visit. The pond of Koi with the cherry blossom debris has a certain magic to it, I find. Very Zen in the middle of the surrounding zany.
ReplyDeleteFun party, fun weather. Well worth a trip across town. Those blossoming trees are fantastic.
