Shadows and Curiosities

Robert Schmid

A glass jug on the counter top.
Not exactly shadows --more reflections.

Union Square, Saturday. We go up early when the shadows
are the strongest and discover two curious dogs.

Our dog discovers that the dog paddling pool is very small indeed.

We have a long chat with the man selling lilies.

  3. Interesting dogs indeed!! A paddeling pool? What fun...of course both of our dogs would just want to lay in that!
Hope all is going well with you Elizabeth!!

  9. Some nice shadowy shots there, Elizabeth. Can't think why bigger dog pools cannot be provided, if that's what they like!

  11. Lovely shadow series here. That wading pool is something else. Methinks MOLLY would love one of her own but then I'd need to deal with a wet dog all the time instead of just occasionally ;--)
    Hugs and blessings,

  12. How sweet - the wading pool! And I do hope those other two dogs were simply wearing their summer suits and don't always look like that...

  15. Love the happy doggies in the pool! I'm not sure what I think of that shaved dog style...I don't see dogs like that where I am. Perhaps it's more comfortable for them in summer :) Have a wonderful week!

  17. Dog paddling pool? that's new to me...for the dogs to clean their feet? or to cool down on a hot day? If its for cleaning, how does the dog knows he has to clean them? hehe...such silly questions, but seriously I have no idea...:P
