Every morning I look to see what's on my camera from the day before,
since I try to post really current things - however dull.
It is better to have a theme for a post -like "A Day at the Beach"
but life tends to be a bit random -- one makes the connections later.
Yesterday morning lots of fire trucks rushed to a hotel
on the other side of the road
but it must have been a false alarm.
In the evening, I tidied my desk so I could close it.
All sorts of interesting bits and pieces in there:
the business card
from the shop where Buster's collar came from
and matches from India.
In the afternoon a cat slyly observed us on 22nd Street.
This morning, at six o'clock, the moon was still up.
Robert Frost suggested that 'way leads on to way.'
So here is the path:
men in uniform lead to mailman
black cat leads to black cat behind bars
bars lead to bars on the roof of the building
over which we see the moon
hi! a cool associative interconnected path through new york. i love the box of matches...... stevenReplyDelete
Nicely done .. I have so many pix stored on iPhoto I could easily not take another photo for months, maybe years and still have some to post each day ... you are far more disciplined than I .. admiration and envy coming at you!ReplyDelete
Of course I love the matches from India :)))ReplyDelete
Wow, I love those matches, Elizabeth. WT brings matches back from everywhere he goes. But, I've not seen any quite so cool as yours!ReplyDelete
My post today has to do with interconnectedness. Is that a word?
That works for me.ReplyDelete
The moon is so clear and beautiful!ReplyDelete
love the randomness of this post and the shot of the moon is just wonderful :)ReplyDelete
Loving your 'interconnectedness' :)ReplyDelete
Fun random connections. Liked the business card from the pet shop especially. I saw that moon this morning. It looked like a big pizza crust waiting for a layer of tomato sauce and toppings.ReplyDelete
Stringing together stories from your images...I enjoyed walking this path with you!ReplyDelete
I think that my screen is sometimes not very clear- I missed the black kitty for awhile - loved the curtains and the scroll iron work of the window- the kitty rather got lost. Packaging is everything- lOVE the card and matches!ReplyDelete
You actually clear your desk? I am envious of that sort of order.
It took me a while to find that cat!ReplyDelete
I love finding unexpected and charming bits in my desk . . . or handbag or pockets.
I can't believe that there is still such a solid moon at 6 am! Perhaps I should rise earlier and check for myself?
Love the matches and the moon, took me ages to see the cat.ReplyDelete
Haven't you just loved the moon this week?? You've captured it beautifully!ReplyDelete
Elizabeth, I am enjoying your views of NYC. Lovely perspectives!ReplyDelete
We both did post the new moon - I am just catching up!ReplyDelete
Sorry for my bad english. I would like to get updated with you new posts as I love to read your blog. Add me to your mailing list if you have any.ReplyDelete
