Barefoot

Robert Moses Beach

Walking on the beach is one of the purest pleasures I know.

It's all Mr.Bird knows, though he wonders if we have sandwiches, and, if we do, can he have one too?

Looking west

looking down

at the birds

and a splendid large shell

and at shadows.

Heading back over the causeway stretches over the Great South Bay.

I approve of the color they painted the bridge.

Note: Three of my books are now available in a Kindle editions and therefore much cheaper than in real book form!
A Fortunate Child a novel based on the true story of two women, one German, one English, during the Second World War. About mothers and daughters and adoption and joy and loss.
New Roof in October, a small book of poems
and also two books for the 9-12 year old set
and
These last two are adventures set in the 1950's. Happy Reading.

  2. Oh to be able to see blue skies and wear few clothes. I can imagine the feeling of the water between my toes on that glorious beach.

Please send some sun our way.

(Thanks for stopping by. Who could blame you for heading for warmer climes?)

  3. Elizabeth, I can imagine you in this beautiful place (with lots of sunscreen, of course) and really love the photo with the sharp lined shadow from the wire basket.

I loved imagining the sea breeze.

NYC is now just a tad more bearable, but please do continue to have that beach access as long as you may.
