Yesterday afternoon was cloudy
then a horrible rainstorm ripped the petals off the tulips and beat down the daffodils.
Overnight it snowed.
The purple ectoplasm is a red coleus indoors.
When I ventured out with the dog this morning, it was 32'F. The pansies were surrounded by ice granules.
Breakfast was baked oatmeal with almonds.
The tulips look cheery at least.
At 11am it is 40'f - but bright....
Gosh, just looked at my Blogger dashboard to discover this is post #900....
You have had such a long hard winter on the East coast of the US. In contrast ours in UK has been very wet and mild but at least we now have spring thank goodness. Surely it cant be too long before your weather dramatically improves! I hope so anyway.
ReplyDeleteI guess, get used to it...our home is undergoing epic change. Beautiful shots by the way, and a lovely breakfast!
ReplyDeleteI thought I was reading fiction for a second Elizabeth! More snow! who can believe it. I love the blossom trees and street scenes, and 900 posts! You'll have to throw a blog-party for the 1000th.
ReplyDeleteI can believe it !
ReplyDeleteWe had no winter and spring ... and my last year tomato plants are full of fruit !
I love the pansies surrounded by the ice.
cheers, parsnip
I can't believe it !
ReplyDeleteFantastic photos!! I absolutely love the fact that your photos are taken barely 20 miles from where I live!! LOL!!! We can empathize with each other on these crazy weather days!!! : ) xo

900! Congratulations. So sorry about the snow. I feel very lucky at the moment, looking at everyone's snow over the pond. x
ReplyDeleteHappy 900th birthday!! So glad you came back on to this site, I did so miss your photos of New York. Do hope the snow disappears completely today.
ReplyDeleteCertainly gloomy looking for NY and gosh how cold. The ice gives contrast to the Pansies.
