For some reason the Lorax on top of the taxi

pushed me into yellow overload.

Ah! The place where the old lock was and a new one.
The old shape a fleur de lis and somewhat ecclesiastical.

The Theological Seminary Chapel catches the late afternoon light

hidden tight behind bars

with a marvellous tower.

The other side of 9th Avenue on 20th Street the lobby of Chelsea Court glows golden too.

  1. elizabeth,
    i enjoy these
    little walks around the city
    with you...
    i, too,
    am the sort
    to look at patterns
    all around...
    i notice
    where the old lock Was,
    where the new lock Is...

  2. I took a grand tour with you, reading all the posts I've missed. Hope your life is wonderful there in NYC!

  3. The golden hour is the photographer's best friend. Well done. My favorite was the Chapel glowing gold behind the bare branches.

  5. I love golden hues. Your pics are simply scrumptious. I

I once saw the sky turn pure gold across the Back Cove of Cacso Bay in Portland, Maine. Stunning.

  6. New York looks so beautiful. I love the fact that there are so many trees in your city.

  7. The old lock plate, seems such a waste to remove it and put that humdum lock there.

  8. Beautiful photograph and info about New York

I look forward to hearing from you!
