Happy Valentine's Day and Fed Up with the Weather...

Definitely need flowers...

the first anemones I've bought this year.

A very good season for reading - a lot.

The weather is still beastly and a snow storm is expected tomorrow night - and as for the poor people who live in Boston - they expect a blizzard. Currently it's -3'C - . This picture was taken yesterday through the grubby roof window of a taxi.... heading towards...

Eric Kayser - purveyor of little hearts to dream on...

and huge ones.

The dog has retreated to his bed with the pelts of his bunny and lobster.

I'm so bored I've started playing with my food. Here  a bearded pecan cookie with lettuce hair designed by me.

This pecan cookie designed by Margaret Trombly is more cheerful and elegant. When not playing with food with me, Margaret gives talks on art at The Met...

More Pink

What a hat to celebrate Valentine's Day! (14th Street and 4th Avenue.)

Yesterday evening the Empire State Building was lit up.
Why is it pink, red and white? Robert asks
He takes this photo anyway........

At 5:30 yesterday afternoon, it was naturally astoundingly rose from the rays of the setting sun.
How romantic....
Beverly of How Sweet the Sound often kindly invites me to join Pink Saturday.
Usually New York isn't the pinkest of cities.... today is the exception.
Go here to see more participants.

These pink beaded animals live in ABC carpet but they originally came from Africa.

I think this one is looking for love.

On Broadway and 20th Streets they have wrapped an entire building in a sort of plastic skin.
Wierd -- but definitely half pink.

Such pink cakes in Zaro's!

Pink

At the bank the ATM machine has a hole where its heart should be.
Hmmm..........

Blogging tend to turn people into large sized kindergartners trotting with joy through the turning seasons.
I have to admit this is fun.
It is also a decorating and shopping opportunity.
Here the doors of United Cerebral Palsy on 23rd Street.

Mylar hearts in the Window of Dallas Barbecue.

A present from Constance who  knows how to pack a parcel
 and a card from Stephanie.

At Chelsea Market  Belgian designer chocolate with pink pepper. (Who would have thought?)

Pink wine, too.
