Snow Day

Great excitement - it finally snowed.

I like snow so much I got up in the night to see if it had started...

Early in the morning a person is walking a dog.

Then I had to walk Buster  - who was much more cheerful than this picture looks.

Not too many people out on 9th Avenue at 8am.

But a work crew were shoveling already.

A man on a bicycle crossing 8th Avenue - rather risky, I imagine.

Back indoors I look west.

Then I decide to go up onto the roof to take super-duper pictures of the entire city.... except it is snowing on the entire city and there isn't a thing to see...Oh well....

  1. Oh well, though I don't like more than a few large flakes of snow, it does look pretty. Enjoy.

  3. Elizabeth, I love your snow pictures! They really do tell the story of the 2016 Blizzard...now ranking within the top five blizzards in history. Good to see Buster out in his blue boots.

Channel 7 has a reporter stationed at the corner of 23rd and Ninth. I was looking for you all in the background of her reporting.

I am thrilled to report that the shop has closed for the day, and that the closing happened before I had to go to work. Hooray...reason prevailed.

I've got a few snow seen through a window photographs over at my place, too. xo

    1. I know about channel 7!
Buster and I walked past on our lunchtime walk - but obviously we were not picturesque enough to get on TV!
However it now seems to be getting WORSE rather than better. So glad you did not have to go to work.

I see Buster enjoyed the walk in the snow. Have a nice Sunday!

  15. The city looks so beautiful with a white blanket on it, doesn't it?? My husband is so thrilled that he doesn't work in the city anymore and have to dig out his own parking spot. Lol!! We got barely three inches. I hope we have more snow this year but I just read that temps are supposed to be above normal for the most part until March. I guess we'll just have to wait and see. Love your photos!! Have a wonderful weekend!! xoxo
