A Rather Chartreuse Day

This metallic model serves for all seasons on 9th Avenue.
She is wildly photogenic.

The camera delights in glitter and reflections
and that dreadful, lovely color chartreuse.

Time to wear green to read in the park.

Time to repaint the park railings.
A seven person job.
23rd Street.

  2. I'm seeing green!

Love the manniken. How do you spell that word?

In the third pic it looks like she has a mohawk - a green mohawk - because of the reflected trees. Very cool.

    Happy Saturday!

  4. Lovely as usual, Elizabeth. I love the railings being a seven person job. It reminded my of somewhere we went in New England a few years ago (could have been Montpelier) where one man was employed in the Senate building just to polish the enormous brass staircase.

  5. It's amazing how often a shocking shade of chartreuse appears in nature - moss on a tree or seaweed washed up along a shore. It's actually more common than we think.

Chartreuse - Toronto was very Chartreuse last week when all the buds on the trees were ready to peek (peak)

  8. Can anybody who isn't metallic actually wear chartreuse without looking jaundiced?

My husband tells me that there's a very long bridge over the Firth of Forth (iirc), and that by the time the crew finishes painting it, it's time to go back to the other end and start all over.

  11. Do you suppose that painting those railings has something to do with federal job creation? If so, my house in Houston needs painting . . .

    Chartreuse . . . when I was a child, I thought it was purple.

  17. Hmmm...I wonder if Michelle Obama was in the fashion know when she wore chartreuse to her husband's inauguration or whether she started a fashion trend by doing so...?
