For other ShadowShotters go here!
For some reason lots of my recent photos have orange and green in.
Here a vast truck on 21st Street.
A reminder that Mother's Day is next weekend in the US.
The Moonstruck Diner on the Corner of 9th Av and 23rd Street.
Below the house of my dreams on 21st Street.
I like all the orange and green. It's a great colour combo! That big truck is cool. Hope you have a super Sunday Elizabeth. I spotted your adorable Buster earlier over on Paz's blog. I hope Paz has returned him to you ;)
ReplyDeleteLove the closeup on the truck. Also like the garden area. Reminds me of a little place in New Orleans, on a not too hot afternoon.
ReplyDeleteI like the dream house on 21st too. If I had a choice I would choose a ground floor with a yard, however small, over height any day. I dream away on your fine photo!
ReplyDeleteOh, love the diner, and what a beautiful home on 21st. Is that in Greenwich Village?
ReplyDeleteElizabeth, love the photos of Spring's arrival. Oh to be in the excitement of that change! We have a bit of seasonal "shift" here...but the feel is entirely different. I think I used to get into a winter funk (depression)that was cured by a good cross country ski or walk in the brisk outdoors. When I went to Michigan last March, I walked in the rain. It was exciting. I didn't get sick. But since Easter, my health has been run-down. I hate to take antibiotics. Combine that with the aversion to medical care anywhere but especially in a complicated country...and you have my home treatment...let nature take care of itself attitude in full spring bloom! I noticed the color right away. It is framed nicely by the peach background! I want to just go over there and see the flowers coming to life! I think I need to start some flowers here...and get a garden going!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the nice comment at Oasis Writing Link. I think those days are gone. She performed at a Music Fest this past week and sounded lovely. She sang Jewel's "Foolish Games," in front of about 100 people. It was so compellingly emotional. I want her to express herself so it was both charming and satisfying to see her under the spotlight.
I also love your dream house photo, too!
Lovely shots and beautiful colors!!Enjoyed them all. Happy SSS!
ReplyDeleteOrange and green are definitely the colors popping in your pics. I like the entrance to that little house, too. A cottage in the city.
ReplyDeleteReally enjoyed your photos. Liked them all and orange and green is a great combination. Thanks for sharing. Happy Sunday.
ReplyDeleteWonderful series. I used to live in Stuyvesant Town (18th and 1st) worked in the 20s at one point. Nice to see old haunts. House of your dreams is a beauty! These shots would be great for Ruby Tuesday too. Thanks for some NY memories.
ReplyDeleteI love your house of dreams! I think it may be mine too! Lovely photos.
ReplyDeleteOrange and green are definitely in this spring! And your dream house is officially my dream house now :-) Thanks! Polly x
ReplyDeleteI like this colour combination and all the different situations you saw it in. I saw Buster too-he is so cute and made a good shadow shot subject!
ReplyDeleteOrange and green go well together, as do you and that camera of yours. Nice work!
ReplyDeleteThe truck photo is really fun! Love the orange and green combo theme. So fresh and springy.
ReplyDeleteHello Elizabeth! I'm in love with your dream house too....at least this part if it! It reminds us also of New Orleans....Charleston...Savannah....New York - no way!
ReplyDeleteLove the first picture of the truck - very cool - like the color too!!
The book report is done...I'll be sending you a picture of her diorama she made - she loved the book!
Happy photos as usual, Elizabeth! It looks like my dream house too.
ReplyDeleteI like the flowers and the neon on the Moonstruck window:D
ReplyDeleteI'm especially happy to see the Beech tree here, since my battery was dead and I couldn't take a photo.
