It's Getting to Look a Lot Like Christmas...

Even the parking garage booth is getting into the spirit of things.

And the girls at Billy's Bakery are extra busy.

Can anyone tell me what this little bird, spied from my window, is?

Dogs like snow, as I do....

A Visit to an Old House

I often go to Long Island to visit old friends

and revisit the past.
Something very comfortable, especially this season,
 in things known and traditional.

Things reflected in a silvered mirror....

silhouetted in a small window.....

and decorating a hutch.
Season's Greetings....

Windows on 9th Avenue

Yesterday afternoon, walking along 9th Avenue....

I admired all the shop windows...

decorated for the season.
This is the Barking Zoo where they have all sorts of toys for pets.

The florist's wreaths are very lovely...

 and the amyrillisses  astound.

Day Two: Tappan

A slightly later dawn picture.

Today they repave the street which is fun.
Gooey tar and sprinkled pebbles.

In the back yard, the butterfly bush.

It's only when not in New York that I realize
how frenetic it is there and how much
energy is buzzing and buzzing all around
even when one isn't doing very much at all.
Is unbuzz  word?
