Orange and Green/Shadow Shot Sunday

For other ShadowShotters go here!

For some reason lots of my recent photos have orange and green in.
Here a vast truck on 21st Street.

A hedge by a little cafe on 9th Avenue.

A beech tree's very tender almost pink leaves above pachysandra.

A reminder that Mother's Day is next weekend in the US.
The Moonstruck Diner on the Corner of 9th Av and 23rd Street.

  1. I like all the orange and green. It's a great colour combo! That big truck is cool. Hope you have a super Sunday Elizabeth. I spotted your adorable Buster earlier over on Paz's blog. I hope Paz has returned him to you ;)

  2. Love the closeup on the truck. Also like the garden area. Reminds me of a little place in New Orleans, on a not too hot afternoon.

  3. I like the dream house on 21st too. If I had a choice I would choose a ground floor with a yard, however small, over height any day. I dream away on your fine photo!

  4. Oh, love the diner, and what a beautiful home on 21st. Is that in Greenwich Village?

  5. Elizabeth, love the photos of Spring's arrival. Oh to be in the excitement of that change! We have a bit of seasonal "shift" here...but the feel is entirely different. I think I used to get into a winter funk (depression)that was cured by a good cross country ski or walk in the brisk outdoors. When I went to Michigan last March, I walked in the rain. It was exciting. I didn't get sick. But since Easter, my health has been run-down. I hate to take antibiotics. Combine that with the aversion to medical care anywhere but especially in a complicated country...and you have my home treatment...let nature take care of itself attitude in full spring bloom! I noticed the color right away. It is framed nicely by the peach background! I want to just go over there and see the flowers coming to life! I think I need to start some flowers here...and get a garden going!

Thank you for the nice comment at Oasis Writing Link. I think those days are gone. She performed at a Music Fest this past week and sounded lovely. She sang Jewel's "Foolish Games," in front of about 100 people. It was so compellingly emotional. I want her to express herself so it was both charming and satisfying to see her under the spotlight.

I also love your dream house photo, too!

  9. Wonderful series. I used to live in Stuyvesant Town (18th and 1st) worked in the 20s at one point. Nice to see old haunts. House of your dreams is a beauty! These shots would be great for Ruby Tuesday too. Thanks for some NY memories.
