Shadows and Details

Morning light makes stripes from the very old Windsor chair.

Construction above the High Line.
Do I live there? Almost.

Two leaves fall prematurely on a table at the Half King.
Iced water. Sunhat. Summer.

  3. Lovely ... I had no idea it was called a Windsor chair, we had one, gave it to my sister not long ago .. I wonder if she knows ...

  4. I like them all for different reasons, too long for a dialogue here! Christo could take a look at how builders are wrapping their activities, or is it the other way round. I like the way we can see what is going on behind the wrapping! The colours are gorgeous.

  15. There are some reddish leaves on our trees now. The weather doesn't know that it is summer, either. I think that the cloud cover you were experiencing earlier this summer moved east!

As for construction, it seemed like every block in Barcelona was under the jackhammer. Someone told me that all of that city construction is an attempt to keep people employed during the recession.

  17. The chair shadow is one that you look at and say to yourself, Why haven't I noticed that before?

Those leaves--reminders that winter is coming. Enjoy summer while you can!

  22. I love detail shots like these. :-) The most interesting things to me are seeing beauty in the commonplace, or in unexpected places. You do that so well.
