and sometimes other places
Lovely shadow shot!
I love the simple greyish quality of colour here, and the darker vertical trunk of a young tree surrounded by the pebbles. An oriental touch here as opposed to the usual busy plant look.
Quiet stones and a shadowy walkway all in monochrome! So very beautiful!
Love your nature shadow shots. They make such a nice design.Paz
Lovely noon Saturday shadows! I much prefer sweet quiet stones to those pesky noisy rock types ;DHave a wonderful Sunday Elizabeth!
I love the pretty purplish greys in your pictures. Lovely.
Very nice shots. It looks so pretty. Use to work on 23rd, but Fourth Ave..Happy SSS.
Shadows mean sunshine, which is always nice and dappled shade also. All we seem to be having at the moment is rain and more rain.
nice - peaceful :)
There is a lovely poem which starts something likeGlory be to God fordappled things. Not sure who it is by - have a feeling it might be Manley Hopkins - but it sprang to mind when I saw your dappled shadowing Elizabeth - I must look it up. (although some bloggy pal might tell us if we wait a day or two.)
Where shadows gatheron 23rd Street is wheremy heart longs to be. My Shadow Shots
Beautiful leafy patterns capture on the pavement, Elizabeth. Love the contrast. <3
Lovely shadows! Tree shadows are always calming.Karla & Karrie
Just like the stones, I'm having a wonderful quiet Sunday. Hope you're enjoying the day, as well.
loving the texture of the rocks against the shadowy texture of the leaves OR vice-versa!
Of course I love these shots. They seem so Japanese in mood. does that make sense?
Zen garden-ish. Nice neutral colors, dappled shadows and smooth rocks.
How very zen like, so restful, I'd walk there too...they almost look like bamboo shadows.
I love the subtle colors in these shots too.
Not only did I like your shots, but this particular phrase went down a treat, too: '23rd Street between 10th and 11th Avenue'. That's how we give directions in Cuba. Rarely heard in GB.Many thanks.Greetings from London.
These photos are marvelous, Elisabeth...so lovely and delicate--almost like lace! Happy Day, my friend ((HUGS))
I read the post above also...lovely blog...Michelle
