Today's Flowers/India

Today's flowers is hosted by Luiz Santilli Jr.

Talking with Paz the other day, I realized that I had hundreds
of photos from India that I had never posted and probably
never would. Since it has been raining for the past two days
and I have no New York photos, here are some from March.
We went to a wonderful garden in Udaipur where there were fountains
and pools and curiously English-looking herbaceous borders.
Here a cinneraria.

Here petals of bourgenvillia  fall into the water.

Some are swept up with palm tree fronds.
(This last photo should be enlarged to see the details...)

  4. Pretty flowers to consider, with a week of rain predicted. The flowers here will be busting at the seam once the sun eventually comes out.

  6. Thanks for making me look at the details, Elizabeth. Sometimes we just breeze through.

The rain is making everything grow so beautifully here. Green is the word of the day.

I have to go back and read about the haiku festival.....oh, dear.....that requires writing doesn;t it. :-)

  8. I almost forgot to post here. I wandered over to Buster's site. Don't tell my cats. I have enough to do.

Beautiful colors and composition. I enjoyed those little brooms.

Enlarging the photos is a must.

  10. Simply gorgeous,
    even the fallen petals pile.

    It was raining here tonight.
    Finally, I say,
it has been sunshine for weeks on end. Mother Nature needed the water.
    And I a reprieve. Pollen!

  16. Well, you would hardly describe these as rainy day filler! That bluish-purple of the cinneraria just might be my favorite color.
