Clean and Bright/Shadow Shots

Morning sun hits the side of a building on 34th Street near Macy's.
For lots more Shadowshots go to HeyHarriet.

Old buildings reflected in the glass of new construction
just off the North side of Union Square.

A left over  photo from Roosevelt Avenue in Queens.

The sign in the window of the Excellent Dumpling House off Canal Street in Chinatown.
The best, fastest and most delicious scallion pancakes on the planet.

  4. It is such fun to see NYC through your eyes.
Does the Dumpling House have soup dumplings? I am looking for a place in NYC that has them...my son introduced me to soup dumplings some years ago :)

  9. Weaver:Yes, the sky is indeed a very bright blue here - very different from the subtle muted tones one often gets in England.
Mo'a: There is a super soup dumpling place called shanghai. I would have to look it up precisely.

  12. I Most certainly would buy several copies of the book you must put together of your NYC shots! Each one is a story, maybe several, and there are so many photos that , especially from your view point are absolutely perfectly wonderful, Dear Elizabeth- all of them- always!---brilliant!

  16. I dig how the first photo is in blues, second has the pop of rusty orange, then was the pink?, and then the green. Very cool.

  20. My husband and I have always toyed with the idea of naming our house. Owl Cottage seemed appropriate, but we change it often to fit our current whims. I personally like Dumpling House very much!!
