This precariously positioned character, attached to the facade of a building on 23rd Street, advertises a dance club.
When Ms/Mr Liberty (on the corner of 8th Avenue on Monday) saw his photo, he said, "Oh no! All the points are hanging down."
He was handing out flyers for an insurance company.
Yesterday, I saw other members of his tribe approaching.
The man without a costume would prefer not to be seen with them.
i love that first shot. hanging o the precipice. dance your way to safety.
ReplyDeleteYou have got an awesome window- thanks for sharing the view!
ReplyDeleteHa, ha! Love the dance club advertising!
ReplyDeleteThe droopy Mr. Liberties are too funny!
ReplyDeleteis that what they are doing... there was a guy at a red light here in york dressed identically on monday, i moved over to the other lane, because he was knocking on car windows. at least now i know he wasn't off his medication...LOL
ReplyDeleteThis post (pictures and commentary) made me laugh out loud!
ReplyDeleteVery, very nice. The Bray "From My Window" shots are some of my favorites. You photographers have great creative minds. Kim
ReplyDeletehilarious! They look like sea creatures scooting around- what a way to make a dollar!
ReplyDeleteLove the dance figure-looks more like a guy trying to escape an act of "somewhere he should not have been". Great shots of the surreal out your window!
Every year our next door neighbor where I work hires students to wander the streets in Miss Liberty costumes. They process tax forms. I guess this year the kids are more hungry. As where you are, the guys are putting on the blue dress as well.
ReplyDeletefunny pics....Barb
ReplyDeleteThe things you see from your window!
ReplyDeleteNow THAT is funny
ReplyDeleteYour New York is surreal. It is such a show out your window.
ReplyDeleteLife is a parade......
ReplyDeleteOne behind the other they look like members of a weird sect!
ReplyDeleteThe Liberties are too funny with their droopy tops. Looks like you got some great things to see from your window! If only mine was so interesting.
ReplyDeleteFinally, color, something other than black and white. When are New Yorkers going to realize, color is good. A tribe of Liberty(s) going to work. I wonder where they live and will the start a revolution in fashion? Only time will tell.
ReplyDeleteN Dak.
That's so funny!
ReplyDeleteHmmm... Mr. Liberty is an insurance salesman? Love the irony! Freedom from fear??
ReplyDelete(Still feeling giddy today!) ;-)
Oh, the wilting liberties!
ReplyDeleteThat first shot would make a spectacular Shadow Shot Sunday.
ReplyDeleteLove the lacklustre Liberties, too!
LOL! What a hoot!
