The Buddah and angels, henna and belly dance.
The shop front next door is a complete puzzle.
Lots of draperies, crystals (I think) and a sort of palaquin.
A card lies on the frozen ice of the assisted living parking lot.
After I have photographed it, R. picks it up.
We are disappointed to discover it is something to do with a video game.
great shots Elizabeth - seems like it was a very serendipitous day! The ceramic goddesses (dare i say?) east and west and fate in the shadows....
ReplyDeleteRegardless of what's on the back, finding a card reading FATE is fun
ReplyDeleteYour walk today seems intriguing and exciting. Love the photos and that "Fate" card.

I guess there are any meanings with your finding of FATE card.
ReplyDeletethere you go, nothing is as it seems.
ReplyDeletecuriouser and curiouser.......what does it all portend?
ReplyDeleteJust think elizabeth - if you had left the card onthe floor you would have been intrigued by it. What a disappointment to find it was so mundane. I like to think of you roaming about NY with your camera at the ready.
ReplyDeleteWell, it seems to be your FATE to always find interesting, quirky and curious details of NYC to share with us. Thank you!
ReplyDeletelove that ganesha (and all of abc's alabaster statues from India... wish i could live int hat room even for a little while...)
ReplyDeletefate card was fate no matter how you slice it sister!
Hmmmmm...makes you wonder, doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteSomething for everyone - plus some FATE for the bystanders.
ReplyDeletei just want to tromp along

in new york
and
have a variety of places to walk.
this is a good Fate,
i am thinking....
Walking about New York these dull days, it is very hard to find colour the way you do! I thought I spotted you in Emporium late today, but wasn't sure. I only have your tiny bio portrait to go by! MM of NY
ReplyDeleteHello Elizabeth :D
ReplyDeleteoh..bellydance, while trying to complete an eating marathon here for Chinese N/Year, I should take up bellydancing. Love the picture of Lord Ganesha.
I've never seen East Northport look so spiritual. I was there today, at the Wendy's!
ReplyDeleteWow! You had an interesting day!
ReplyDeleteMeditate and belly-dance! Interesting captures, Elizabeth. Ganesha (the elephant demigod) is blessing you with good fortune---how else can you explain these excellent shots?
ReplyDeleteA fascinating day, so cleverly captured.
ReplyDeleteFrom Lord Ganesha to Buddha to everything between - what a neat series of shots!
