People and a Hot Dog Stand

One of the great things about New York is that you can dress exactly as you please

and no one will really take any notice. This is a pirate trying to get the dog's attention

and here someone whose hair screams: Look at me ! Look at me!

This litte old lady had sensible shoes and a nice bright mac and
a splendid crochet hat which matched her stockings.

At the dog park

This is the new St.Sebastian in the window of Kleinfeld's. He is not
pierced yet. In fact he looks rather calm about the whole thing. Gosh!

A particularly eye-catching hotdog stand near 14th Street.

What a study in yellow it is!

Pouring with rain now and set to do so for the whole weekend.
Hope your weather is better.

  1. I love the lady with the bright hair! Too fun! That was one of things I loved about NY when we were there this summer...you can dress any way you please : )

  2. Pouring rain! Send some our way will you? It seems ages since I've enjoyed some pouring rain.

Hmmmm, perhaps I should relocate to NYC so I can dress like a Victorian lady in white lace whenever I please! Wouldn't that be fun!

  3. Your people photos always make me smile and think how lucky that you are in the midst of such characters. I could walk a couple miles and possibly not see another soul.

  6. It's the portraits that really catch me - because you have captured something. Love the way you see the underlying colour too. Oh, to be visual!

  7. Oh Elizabeth, with today's rain, drizzle, mist and fog, my hair has given up the will to duel with gravity...a very bad hair day.

I do agree that our city is full of folks who know about style, don't know about style, follow fashion, don't follow fashion, and just have fun with it all.

Have you been to the current show at FIT?

I do want to see it.

Best wishes from me to you and yours. xo
