London Light/Shadow Shot Sunday

In late September, England had its best, and almost only, bit of summer.
Instead of being gray and overcast, things were bright and sunny.

The glass door knob glittered with light.

But it's better to have lots of umbrellas at the ready just in case.

A cat flap in the door and French windows..........

..........and a bench in a sunny spot to grab sunshine whenever you can.

  6. Elizabeth, I need to visit you more often, I love these photos. They bring a sense of peace, almost as if I was back up North as a very young girl in one of my mum's old Victorian homes. Beautiful post, beautiful stained glass windows, beautiful shadows.

Thank you for sharing your impressions of England!
My chestnut trees are not from Vienna, here they are still green, but from the countryside about 50 miles north of Vienna. There it seems to be colder in the nights :)

  18. You always come up with beautiful and interesting photos Elizabeth.

Must have been fun in the shop, but Like you I would go for a book shop for preference. I wonder which village that was.
