This blogger rarely goes out in the evening.
But when she is invited to join Alexa and Lori and Ming in welcoming Eric, of Paris Daily Photo, to New York, she manages to take the bus up 23rd Street to Broadway.
Pipa, on 19th Street, has an amazing number of chandeliers - you can buy them or merely enjoy them.
Ming has a much better picture.
The affects of light are very pretty.
The sangria delicious.
The company delightful.
We talked about healthcare and politics.........and Paris.
On the way out, I look back into the restaurant.
Always rather fun - being outside gazing in.
The first very cold, wet, windy night.
I give up and take a taxi home.
I love your shots from the evening! I noticed the chandeliers too but never got around to taking a photo of them. It was great to see you again. We had such fun. I hope we meet up again soon!
ReplyDeleteI love your idea of posting that photo from inside the taxi to describe the weather and end of the evening. How brilliant is that?1!?
ReplyDeleteGreat seeing you again.
Beautiful chandeliers! You were brave to go out in such weather! I cuddled up in my comforter all evening!
ReplyDeleteWhat a delightful evening! I'm sure braving the rain and wind was worth it. Those chandeliers are fantastic, although I always think crazy things like HOW do they get up there to change the lightbulbs?
ReplyDeleteGreat night shots! Wish I lived a little closer, so I could've been there, too!
ReplyDeleteThis is my first ABC experience...I loved posting my photo...and I LOVE looking at everyone's photos!
ReplyDeleteWe went to NYC this past July. It was our first visit. We packed so much into a week. I love looking at your photos of the city...especially the park ones. I wish we would have had more time to explore the park.
Wonderful lighting!
ReplyDeleteYour weather looks a bit like ours at the moment.
Oh what fun to meet blogging friends. It looked warm and cozy in there. And I do adore sangria.
ReplyDeleteIt snowed last night. Alas, it did not stick.
Beautiful lighting. Living in THE city can look terribly glamorous. :-) I'm glad you took a night out with friends. How fun.
ReplyDeleteNice photos on your blog ... love New York!
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful to be able to meet up with all your blog friends :D sounds so much fun and wished I could just pop over like that
ReplyDeleteCan't remember how I got here but love those photos. We were just about to get the winter weather in Chicago but apparently it's going to be in the high 50's this weekend. As one who grew up in the frozen tundra of the north east of England, I can't say I'm sad.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great spot to meet other bloggers!
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a good time. Love the photos.
