That first photograph is terribly romantic. A bare-branched tree can be so beautiful.
Just wanted to let you know, in a public fashion, how much little daughter is loving your book - Jane in Winter. I haven't had a "look in" yet, as she won't let go of it, but she did give me a detailed description of the "very interesting" (her words) plot.
Hmmmmm, love all those photos - you have such an exceptional 'eye' for the detail of everyday. I particularly like the delicious symmetry of shadows in the diner.
I really like the blind shadows in the diner! Another world you live in-- I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of your book! I ordered it for my 9 y/o for a Christmas gift.
Dear Weaver: We were actually going to dog-sit for our son who was holding his wife's birthday in our apartment.....In truth, I rather envy your country life - but , when walking the dog at 8am today, remembered how very cold life is in winter in the country! Bee: Of course I'm thrilled! Tell her to go to the LULU website and post a review - that is, if she still likes it at the end. She can go to Sarah's website to see how to do one. The teacher in resolutely won't die!
Oh that was a fun trip Elizabeth. The coffee in the diner wasn't the best but the pizza joint was yummy. Ok, I'm just being silly. Just wishing I was there for real! xo :D
Sleigh bells ring, are you listing? In the lane, snow is glistning...
Beautiful wintry show, Elizabeth.
I continue to be under all sorts of seasonal time pressures that I so wish I could toss into the air, and never have the fear that they would fall back into my arms.
Wonderful shots and your blog has suddenly turned magical..love all those snowflakes falling everywhere, better than plastic foam and cotton on trees here :D
Thank you for leaving a comment - I love your blog! Lovely to meet you - I will be back Lx ps how do you get that fab snow effect? (or am I just hungover?)
Why would you want to escape from that beautiful New York that you show us on your blog?
