This exceptionally handsome dog was on duty at Penn Station.
This mysterious cow loomed at me through a very dirty window between 8th and 7th Avenues.

The city was looking rather gray yesterday before the snow came. New Yorkers were wearing their customary black so I was happy to see a red car to enliven the gloom.
I hope whoever parked and chained Granny outside F&B on 23rd Street at least had the kindness to buy her a few beignets. I envy her comfy red shoes.
Love the granny's red shoes! I have a similar pair. :)
ReplyDeleteI love how you described the granny as parked and chained! So right.
ReplyDeleteI've also enjoyed the snow falling throughout your photos.
Having left Los Angeles for the country, I find I sometimes miss -- yes, actually miss -- the city. No, LA is not New York, obviously, but I do love seeing your beautiful images of the city.
ReplyDeleteElizabeth, you have made me smile with the menagerie and those red accents.
ReplyDeleteI will try to recall these images throughout the day, if and when the going gets tough.
Thank you!
Fun animal life in the city! The snowflake effect is cool, but it makes me feel a little dizzy and distracts me from the images and your well thought words.
ReplyDeleteI love the Granny with her red shoes, l have hair that color and l am a nanna from the UK why is it everyone has to wear black, brown and dark grey in the winter, can't we all wear colors and start a trend, tomorrow am going out in red hair, red coat, pink and silver boots and purple and pink bag, anyone else,

I admire those police dogs.
ReplyDeleteI took a photo of a cow in the window on Madison Ave., the other day. I must post it now. ;-)
Paz (wearing black)
Am enthralled by the snow falling in your pictures. I shall certainly go to the blog site and get some for my blog nearer to Christmas!
ReplyDeleteThese made me chuckle today. Love the look on that poor rhino's face.
ReplyDeleteThe woman's red shoes are so amazing. Also the picture of the parking lot makes me realize what a jungle we really live in:)
ReplyDeleteokay, for some reason the cow picture made me sad because you are right, it just looks forgotten - geez, can you tell I'm all seasonal sappy! - the grandma chained to her bench is so dying for a beignet! and I do love her shoes.
ReplyDeleteI love the red shoes too! I want a pair!
ReplyDeleteCan we have a rhino in red shoes., please?????
ReplyDeleteCouldnt help laughing about the comment of the poor granny but love her shoes though :D
ReplyDeleteLoving your post--full of humour as usual! But since I am originally from Texas, I have a bit of sympathy for my poor bovine friend.
