Tomb

An excellent message on Grant's Tomb.
It says "Let us have Peace".
I would it were so.
I don't think our current adminsitration noticed the bit about ............Blessed are the Peacemakers.
Sad.

Looking up a beautiful heavenly blue.

And Manhattan style yellow and black windows.........

And monumental marble.
Altogether most impressive.

  1. Very impressive, indeed. Ulysses S. Grant, the 18th president of the United States and American Civil War General sounded impressive. His mausoleum is the largest in North America. I like the fact that despite he was a man of war, he spoke about peace, he wanted peace.

The phrase, "Let us have Peace" are words from his 1885 memoirs. I like that inside the tomb there are more references to peace. We need it.

    Love your photos.

  3. I love the marble in your last photo. I have the urge to reach out and touch marble, whenever I see it.

    Yes, we do need peace.

Peace and Happy Easter to you and yours.
