A Visit to the Florist

A blast of bitter cold air sent us scurrying to the florist on the corner of 22nd Street

where pure white amyrillis beckon

not to mention the gerber daisies and the orchids.

We end up with a bouquet of while lilies and some utterly out of season delphiniums (which I doubt will last)  but the color is so utterly seductive.

The poor florist's cat got her tail trodden on in the proceedings and
screamed blue murder but seems none the worse for wear.

  1. A sad tail (that of the florist) with a happy ending (a lovely bouquet to take home). Thank you for posting such refreshing colours to relieve the monotonous grey of these rainy days in Vancouver.

  2. Amen to the above comment from louciao. Nice to have such fresh color readily available to cheer up a bitter cold day. I would have gone for the delphiniums too.

  8. Seems strange to see spring colours when I haven't quite left red and green behind - although I believe we have to prepare for some of the white stuff.

    Happy New Year!

  9. Beautiful, beautiful flowers ... so cheering. It is difficult to keep fresh flowers here in Spain, but I do love to browse flower shops. Love your choice!
