Salad

I bet you never thought you would get a recipe here.
Sometimes we pretend to be healthy.
This lasts about three days.

How to make this salad:

Cook little bits of chicken breast in olive oil and a dash of Lea and Perrins.

Mesclun  green bits
carrots
dried cranberries
mango
cashew nuts
sunflower seeds

Throw bits on plate and drizzle with balsemic vinegar.

Follow up with ice cream and brownies or both.

  1. Your salad looks delish, but I think I like the follow up better :-)

  2. I love this! Food that takes about two seconds to prepare and tastes delicious, followed by bad desserts! Do you get Lea and Perrins in the US or do you have to stock up on visits to the UK?

  5. If God intended us to always be healthy he/she wouldn't have created brownies and ice cream and vodka and pizza and cheesecake and M&Ms and Snickers bars and whisky and chocolate cookies and potato chips and ...

  6. Absolute deliciosity. Yum to the ice-cream and brownies as well - perfect follow-up!

    (What is mesclun? Must google.)

  8. Mesclun greens...I so wish that we could get them here! I love a good salad and then kill all the good parts by eating a decadent desert!

  12. Your salad looks delicious - a lot better than the one I just got from take-out! I'm going to force myself not to eat the chocolate truffles that someone just gave me. But I'm still hungry!

  14. Salad and dessert - that pretty much sums up my normal eating habits. I do also vary it with soup and dessert.

Your picture is gorgeously green and spring-like.

  16. "Follow up with ice cream and brownies or both." - *giggle*

Love the idea of mango and cashew nuts in the salad!

We are having pappardelle with asparagus and salmon today. The white asparagus grows right at the gates of the city and is a great delicacy.

  17. LOL! You and I would get along just fine. :-)

PS In all seriousness, I adore dried cranberries and sunflower seeds in my salads. And a good balsamic vinaigrette is the absolute best.
