They are digging a hole outside Whole Foods on 7th Avenue.
They are digging up a great deal of 8th Avenue too.
Thinking of Shadow Shot Sunday ( even though it was Friday),
I took artsy shots of a gym on 23rd Street where they have scaffolding inside.
On 24th Street.
24th Street too.
Merry, Merry Spring . A joyful season indeed.
ps. Buster has his own blog now. Go here.
I can just hear the jackhammers making their noise! Beautiful spring pics...
ReplyDeleteFrom the looks of the construction going on, even the city is undergoing Spring renewal!
ReplyDeleteWow! Great photos. Love the fire scapes with much flowers!
ReplyDeleteYour banner (header) is gorgeous too!
Oh..finally with all the snow melted, it's so good to see lots of flowers, now I could understand why spring is so much waited for. And, Buster has a blog! me - to check :P Happy Easter Elizabeth..hugs.....m
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping that Spring is finally here. Our weather has been up and down. Love 24th st. - great photo. Kim
ReplyDeletegood morning Elizabeth - love the second to the last shot - colors and composition wonderful - off to the Buster blog....
ReplyDeleteI hate the sound of jackhammers, but spring blossoms are one of my favorite things. The blossoms are long gone in Texas, and everything seems to be suffering from the winter's drought. Not a problem in England!
ReplyDeleteI particularly like your photograph of the blossoms against the criss-crossing of fire escapes and reddish brick.
So did the name "Buster" finally stick?
I am still admiring your banner photo with the spires and the blossoms and the birds and the sky! So cheerful and springy!
ReplyDeleteI am glad to see that the blossomis out and that it is warming up for our visit.
ReplyDeleteNice .. is that steeple part of the church where Limelight was on Sixth at 20th?
ReplyDeleteThe blossom is softening the city. Let's hope the construction doesn't harden it.
ReplyDeleteThe blossom has such promise
ReplyDeleteLove the street shot. I find they sometimes make wonderful feature shots, Those colorful vest against a blue sky always make for good eye candy, too.
ReplyDeleteReally great photos! I'm hoping spring will eventually get to Seattle, but sure haven't seem much so far! Happy SSS!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed every picture..just so nice to see the trees bloom..
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter and SSS..
Love all the flowers!
ReplyDeleteI was out this weekend too taking urban spring shots in Canada under a glorious blue sky. I like the subtle shadows on glass in your shadow shot.
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to see things blooming again but I'd like it warm up a little too!
ReplyDeleteBuster is a smart pup!
Tis the season of potholes, this time of year in Iowa, again, thanks for the tour!
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter!
Oh Elizabeth - how perfect! "hint of spring" = construction in Ohio also!! Wanted to let you know that my daughter has just started your book....she's doing it for a book report - how about that?!!
