In the depths of winter, vegetables, like people, get chilly.
The ones waiting to be eaten in Union Square get protected by plastic sheeting.
Lisa Lewicki told me years ago that photos of stuff under plastic work very well. So here is someone walking past the veggie stand.
And here is the outside of a veggie stand looking in.
There were a few apples and pears to be had
and some squash. Because it was cold
I decided to have a snack...
Happy New Year!
looks jolly nonetheless - and appetising vegetables to boot.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you too, Elizabeth. Love the effect of the plastic in the third photograph!
ReplyDeleteYes, that third one is fantastic, like a silvery brocade cloth. And who know my offhand comment would live on. You have taken "plastic" to the next level!
ReplyDeleteThat really was an impressive photo, a real delight.
ReplyDeleteHappy new year to you too. That snack looks delicious.
ReplyDeleteI like your kind of snack.
ReplyDeleteEven on a cold chilly day your photos are filled with wonderful color.
ReplyDeletecheers, parsnip
Elizabeth, with today's wind chill factor added to the low temperature, I am staying indoors today. It's time to bring out the Heat Tech garments from Uniqlo!
ReplyDeleteYour photographs are grand. xo
Happy New Year, Elizabeth. Your photos are always so unique and so different from my world. Hope you plan an escape to a warm place so soak up some sun.
ReplyDeleteHappy 2017 - lovely pics as always
