Such colors and designs!
all photos taken at the Bahia Palace in Marrakesh, Morocco. Feb 2011 |
Every available surface is patterned and decorated.
In the first courtyard
and the second.....
Even the doors of the cupboards.....
And beneath the old, magic mirror....
Such floors!
This last picture is of Sindibad, the handsomest cat in Marrakesh who
isn't in the palace but wanted to be in the blog!
I just love all the patterns and the wonderful details in every picture. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteVery nice photo series. Very interesting.

Elizabeth, Loved Sindibad, but all very lovely.
ReplyDeleteWhat excites me are the angles and views that you choose. Together with the tiling and archtecture, are those corners that are in disrepair and peeling paint textures; wonderfu1 .... And what can I say abouy Sinbdad but that he is 'muy guapo'
ReplyDeleteSindibad is indeed a most handsome cat
ReplyDeleteI love the way he is sitting so regal.
Lovely photos.
cheers, parsnip
Such beautiful photos. I had been missing your Moroccan photos after you moved so I'm so happy to see the recent ones. Love the patterns, love Sindibad.

ReplyDeleteI wish I could to know Morocco...
I like to read the stories of a good writer - Paul Bowles - that lived in Tânger, Morocco. Did you see the movie "The Sheltering Sky"?
Great film!
Awesome

ReplyDeletePS. Do you ever check in on "the crappy blog'? LOL
wonderful... looks so peaceful! I'm sure I would be a peaceful warrier there trying to calm my mind to match the energy.
ReplyDeleteThis post is completely and delightfully color overload! I do admit though that the cat photo is my favorite--he's a professional model >)
