Patterns at the Palace/Morocco

Such colors and designs!

all photos taken at the Bahia Palace in Marrakesh, Morocco. Feb 2011

Every available surface is patterned and decorated.

In the first courtyard

and the second.....

Even the doors of the cupboards.....

And beneath the old, magic mirror....

Such floors!

This last picture is of Sindibad, the handsomest cat in Marrakesh who
isn't in the palace but wanted to be in the blog!

  6. What excites me are the angles and views that you choose. Together with the tiling and archtecture, are those corners that are in disrepair and peeling paint textures; wonderfu1 .... And what can I say abouy Sinbdad but that he is 'muy guapo'

I wish I could to know Morocco...

I like to read the stories of a good writer - Paul Bowles - that lived in Tânger, Morocco. Did you see the movie "The Sheltering Sky"?
