Out and About

Food stand on 9th Avenue.
The smiling man took my photo with the dog.

In Union Square the other day, the musician  decided
to cover up his face which confused the boy - and me.

No respite from those pesky squirrels even when
sitting down for lunch in Madison Square Park.

These workers are setting up the umbrellas at the
intersection of Broadway,  5th Avenue and 23rd Street.
These planters and picnic tables are a wonderful improvement.

A photoshoot on the corner of Broadway.

Complicated Patterns and One Simpler One

For some reason (unknown to me) they keep digging up Union Square.
I wish they would stop already.

Snacks at a friend's apartment. The carpet sort of echoes the fence above.

Madison Square Park from the bus. Very bare branches here still.

A charming child  who attended a family party.

Shadow Shot Sunday

This is my week's entry for Hey Harriet's Shadow Shot Sunday. See her super blog for details, collages, her fun pictures of a seagull and links to other Shadow Shotters.
I was on my way to a swanky lunch yesterday with an elusive blogger and was walking through Madison Square Park when I came upon this enchanting barefoot child playing beneath the shadowy trees.
