Blacks and Pinks

Pretty fierce looking doors down on 10th Avenue near the book shop by Clement Moore Park.

More of the same.

We went to the Red Dot Fair at the Park South Hotel on Thursday.
This is where I found this chandelier.
Some of Robert's paintings were on show there.
The whole hotel - three floors of it - was a warren of mini-art galleries for the week.
Gallery owners who had come from foreign parts ( ie Berlin or San Francisco) were using the rooms as galleries during the day - but sleeping there at night.
A novel idea.

Sunday

A Sunday morning walk along 10th Avenue towards the old meatpacking district - but also an essay in basic New York black.
This first a shop under the High Line - not a promising location.
nothing seems to last here.

Marble on Gansvort Street - sort of echoing the sand in the bare trees post.

A most amazing shop front picture of the city - elegant people, a drunk etc. A hint of Edward Gorey perhaps and also of toile which tends to have happier themes.......

Outside Park where we used to have brunch sometimes.

Back on Gansvort Street. White vans reflected against basic black.
