What has this blog been about?
Well, things I like, like flowers in Union Square...
The stunning buildings of New York City...
playing with images (here a tintype app)...
and food, of course. Here splendid sweet things in Greenwich village.
Lots of reflections - literal and metaphorical.
Things in blogworld are changing and shifting. Though I like Blogger, other platforms seem to offer different things. I've been experimenting with Wordpress - the very first platform I started on in 2006.
I may well keep on posting here to keep in touch with people on my blogroll which I'm in the process of copying to Wordpress.
However, please visit me here. Random Images is pretty much what it says - the usual sort of jumble of things which catch my eye and delight me. So we'll see how it goes...
Oh Elizabeth, the spritely freshness of that first flower photographs is so very beautiful. I remember when we saw these flowers. You've done them proud. It's grand that many more folks can see them here, as they looked in their prime.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes to you on the resumption over at Wordpress! xo
As ever, not quite sure what I'm doing but I do like Wordpress - when I get the hang of it.
DeleteYes, to getting together this week.
As usual your photographic skills are just stunning! Beautiful blog post...as always, but this one really blew my tiny little mind! The flower is so blow up and hang worthy ( which does not sound like a good thing but it is!) Crazy building, so flat-ish, stylized extreme.
ReplyDeleteSo happy you are keeping up your blog where ever you go.
ReplyDeleteI have been thinking of switching over to Wordpress but that is as far as I have gotten.
Seems like my life is one big emergency after another. Hope it settles down soon.
All your photos are so wonderful.
I must learn how to use and or find the great apps you use. I remember a photo you took once, a rainy morning in NY. You were on the bus and shot the photo though a wet window with the colors street lights. It was wonderful. I spent an afternoon trying to go back through your post to find it but I didn't.
Long way to say please keep your blog somewhere !
cheers, parsnip
I shall certainly visit you if I can find you - I absolutely love your takes on N Y.
ReplyDeleteGreat reflection photos. Looking at photos of New York always seems so glamorous, from over here in the UK. My son, 18, has announced that he will not come on holiday with us anymore, but with one caveat. "Unless we go to New York". Like your blog!
ReplyDeleteWonderful images of New York!
ReplyDeleteGreetings from Italy!
I can't wait to paint that first photo. It's gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI've never been able to comment on Wordpress. I don't know why. There must be something I'm doing wrong.
