Santas buying tickets at Huntington railroad station
and the elves that had arrived at Penn Station
and the helpers with costumes and smiles
and Santas bent on snagging a beer
gosh they we rushing about
but all very cheery
just what we need!
Quite something to look at
while you wait with your mother.
Was it Santas who decorated the dead sunflower on the corner?
I'm glad someone did.
And when I got home from a party, there was a parcel from Scotland to greet me.
Glad everything arrived safely. Hope you are pleased with the tea cosy!

Thinks are looking pretty festive up there.

Very cool.
ReplyDeleteThat's a staggering amount of Santas. This is my son's first year not believing so I haven't had to queue up this Christmas. A mixed blessing!
ReplyDeleteAnd let us hope that all those Santas stayed sober.
ReplyDeleteOooo! A pressie from Scotland!
we all NEED this bit of Christmas!
ReplyDeletethanks
Friends are your world
Lovely that you've decorated to suit the season!
ReplyDeleteElizabeth, I was lucky to see some of the Saturday Santa band collecting during my subway ride downtown to work. Lots of jingling bells at the Times Square station.
ReplyDeleteShall we plan on joining the festivities next year?!!!
xo
Oooooooooh could that be a herd of Santas ?
ReplyDeleteWatson, Hamish and I especially like the Scottie card.
cheers, parsnip
A colorful and cheery post in a world temporarily drained of color. Thank you for starting my week with a smile.
ReplyDeleteI had no idea that Santa(s) needed to purchase rail tickets.
