Yellow, and a Morning Conversation

8:30 am on a cold morning on 22nd Street.

8:45 am The West Side Highway a symphony in chrome yellow,
not to mention the big pails with sand and grit in them
and the traffic lights and the school bus.

I really don't much like bright yellow
 - but I suppose it is used so people notice it.
This van says "TRUCK 'N ROLL"
The bit of the High Line looms above.

My main blog is now HERE

  1. I was in London today and it was hideously cold. The containers of grit are yellow in England, too.

Strong yellow is a color that few people can wear gracefully or beautifully.

  2. hey elizabeth - i love colour, especially at this time of year. i'm intrigued that yellow is used as a symbol for budget priced items. i can't think of anyone i know who has worn yellow in a very long time. have a peaceful evening. steven

  3. I love wearing yellow in the summer when I'm very tanned. Otherwise, no thanks!

  4. You have a great blog here. I like checking out travel blogs much like yours at times. I have a blog myself which I hope will be a great resource for those looking to go on vacation. I want everyone to get that "vacation feeling" every time they come to my site. You know what I'm talking about.

I'd like to exchange links with you to help spread some traffic around between each other. Please let me know if this is possible. Until then, keep up the good work.

  5. wow! I really love your conversation photo. It reminds me so much of Edward Hopper the artist! Very Americana, and wholly captivating! The buses reminds me of the streets of san francisco, all the streets looming on street like through a kaliedescope. Far out!
