22nd Street looks nice and bright.

Outside the deli all spring is on sale - the lilies

and lilac

and hyacinth.

On 22nd Street the brownstones look red

even the scruffy tree pit looks springlike.

On 8th Avenue the florist will open soon.

  2. Spring is persistent even though Winter keeps bullying it into a corner- the flowers are unaware and just bloom when they feel like it! Yay, spring!

  3. Beautiful photos Elizabeth. We were watching a tv programme about New York this morning and Tony said he got goosebumps on his arms just watching it. Its time we came back for a visit! We're hoping to come back next year for Frank Sinatra's 100th year anniversary which is just before Christmas.

  11. We were in the city near Gramercy Park on Thursday and it was such a gorgeous day. Lots of spring flowers!! I found the most wonderful pussy willows in Trader Joe's a couple of weeks ago. I have them sitting in a tall basket in one of the corners of my living room. They're so hard to find to cut your own and the price was too good to pass up. Love my Trader Joe's!!!! Have a beautiful day!! : )
