Spring has sprung -- at least in Macy's Windows.
34th Street and 7th Avenue.
On Saturday afternoon I went looking for shadow to join Heyharriet and the gang.
Starbcks at 8th Avenue and 19th Street.
Down at Chelsea Market, they are re-doing the big space that used to be a florist.
The macaroons at the new French patisserie on 23rd Street
are wearing spring dresses.
Lovely! I've never visited NYC in the spring, but your photos take me there!
ReplyDeleteoooh, pretty petit fours and Macy's flowery dressed!
ReplyDeleteSpring has been a long time coming for you up there eh!
Wow Elizabeth, the first Spring has Sprung photo!!! Even all over the head of that window display- figure doll! Curious and delightful.<3
ReplyDeletegreat to see city shadows!
ReplyDeleteHow am I going to be able to resist that patisserie when I come to New yorks?
ReplyDeleteOne of the ladies in Starbucks looks quite concerned about you taking a photo of her...hehe. The other lady looks kind of sad. Maybe the coffee didn't meet her expectations. Now posting a photo of those delicious looking treats is just cruel! :D
ReplyDeleteHave a great Sunday Elizabeth xo
Stuck between wanting a flower tower hat and pastry...think I'll go for the pastry.
ReplyDeleteWhat great catches! Lovely shadows, interesting pics. Love the Macy's window and I'm drooling over the petit fours! It does look like spring! Happy SSS!
ReplyDelete'Woke up it was a Chelsea morning'
ReplyDeleteThose Macy's windows make me want a floral dress! Something I would never wear in real life! Oh, the power of Spring.
ReplyDeleteLove the spring fashions...takes me back several decades. I never dreamed, back then, I'd be seeing the same fashions at this point in my life!
ReplyDeleteForget the macaroons...I want three or four of those tart thingies above them! It's breakfast time here and they would be just perfect with a cup of coffee. How lucky you have a French bakery so near.
well Macy's is definitely giving it their best shot! snow on our deck this morning - almost melted away - love the pastry shot - good anytime of the year!
ReplyDeleteI will take a box or two or three of those goodies. Irresistibly tempting....
ReplyDeleteOh and I like the shot of the stairway at the Apple store
ReplyDeleteThese have so much spring light in them . . . I could almost "feel" it. (I wonder what that bright orange macaroon tastes like?)
ReplyDeleteYour new header picture is wonderful -- really interesting.
Hello to you, Elizabeth,
ReplyDeleteFinally a day of rest (with fog and mist to encourage relaxation) and I have happily indulged in catching up on your transitional, global posts.
You do give me wanderlust envy.
Promise to be in touch with you soon.

ReplyDeleteLove how spring has sprung...:D though for me, I am still wondrering how's the weather actually as there are no seasons here. Wonderful shadows everywhere, hope you have a great week Elizabeth, much love /m
